• There are over 45 colleges and university synchronized skating programs throughout the country (and the list continues to grow!) Teams represent everyone from the Ivy League to the BIG10 and beyond. Among the growing amount of collegiate synchronized skating programs, there are a few fully-funded, varsity programs and teams that also compete at the Junior and Senior level for Team USA. • Synchronized Skating in the Olympics? Synchronized Skating is on the path to becoming the fifth recognized discipline of figure skating in the Olympic Games. With great strides made recently in their Olympic journey (the International Skating Union formally recommended the discipline's inclusion for the first time in 2015), many of the future first synchronized skating Olympians have already gotten their start!
