Erin Cullen
Program Director and Head Coach

Cullen is the Director and Head Coach of Arctic Edge Unity Synchronized Skating Teams. She has been participating in figure skating for 30 years and has been active in synchronized skating for over 25 years. Cullen is an ISU World Synchronized Skating Bronze medalist, six-­time Team USA international competitor, a Senior US National Champion, and a nine­-time US National Championship medalist. She has been involved in coaching for over 15 years and has also served a guest coach and a consultant for multiple nationally ranked synchronized programs throughout the country, including at the Collegiate and Team USA Junior and Senior level.

Since founding Arctic Edge Unity in 2016, Cullen, along with her staff of coaches, has led AEU teams to over 100 medal finishes in USFS-sanctioned events. In addition to her coaching, she also has served as a representative on multiple US Figure Skating committees, including those serving general USFS programs as well as those specific to the development and support of elite synchronized skating in the United States.

Krissy Stein
Coach & Associate Director of Development

Stein has been involved in figure skating for over 35 years and competed in synchronized skating as part of Team USA for 9 years, including as member of the US World Team in 2000. After competition, she gained experience coaching singles skaters and as a sectional level judge. Stein has served on the advisory board of local synchronized skating organizations and is now enjoying being hands-on with the skaters on the ice.

CHELSEA Unger
Coach & associate director of operations

Chelsea has been  involved with figure skating for over 25 years. She skated for several synchronized skating clubs in the Chicago area for over 10 seasons and earned Midwestern Sectional and US National medals. She is a double gold medalist in Moves in the Field and Ice Dancing. Chelsea has been coaching Learn to Skate and private lessons in the Ann Arbor area for 5+ years and works with skaters of all ages and levels.

Deanna Arnold
Coach

Deanna began skating at the age of 4 in freestyle, and later transitioned to ice dance. She is a Quintuple Gold Medalist in Moves in the Field, Freeskate, Solo Free Dance, Pattern Dance, and Partnered Free Dance and is currently working towards an additional medal in International Pattern Dance. Her coaching style incorporates an ice dance flair with a desire to see her students grow in character, confidence, and athleticism.

Jeannine COON
Advisory Coach

Coon has been actively involved in synchronized skating for over 35 years and has played a meaningful role in the discipline’s rapid growth during that time. She has served as a program director for over 25 years.

 

During her tenure as the director of Team Élan and Phoenix synchronized skating, her teams won 18 US National Championships in addition to countless sectional, national and international medals. Jeannine has her Master Rating in Synchro and a Level 6 Ranking from PSA that is awarded to coaches in recognition of successful performances by their skaters at the World and Olympic levels. In 2004, she was named Synchronized Skating Coach of the Year by the Professional Skaters Association.
