Please see upcoming skills/team placement opportunities for AEU Adults below. All sessions take place at Arctic Edge Ice Arena of Canton, 46615 Michigan Ave, Canton, MI 48188:​
 

Adult Skills Placement Session #1: Sunday, May 17, 2026 - 2:20-3:20pm - begins with brief off-ice greet/light warm-up

Adult Skills Placement Session #2: Thursday, May 28 7:25-8:20pm - begins with brief off-ice greet/light warm-up

Cost: $50 - includes both sessions. 
 
GENERAL NOTES - Adult Skills Placement Sessions:

• We welcome adult skaters ages 18-60+

• No Synchronized Skating experience necessary

• All skill and ability levels welcome​ (beginners, developmental, and advanced/elite)​

• Skaters are encouraged to attend both sessions, but are expected to attend a minimum of one (1) listed session to receive a personalized team invitation for the season. ​

• Sessions are designed to be inclusive, skill building, and fun - These are a low-pressure environment to showcase your skills and learn new skills as well.

ANTICIPATED 26-27 SEASON ADULT TEAM LEVELS:
 

ASPIRE ADULT LEVEL (HOUSE TEAM - NEW FOR 26-27!) - General Criteria:

• Designed for skaters ages 18-60+

• Minimum Level for safety: Recommended minimum comfort with forward skating/gliding, two-foot turning, forward crossovers, and backward pumps (or Learn-to-Skate ADULT 3 level skills and above - higher levels welcome). 

OPEN MASTERS/MASTERS LEVEL (COMPETITIVE/TRAVEL TEAM) - General Criteria:

• Designed for skaters ages 25-60+

• Minimum Level for Safety: Adult Pre-Bronze or Standard Track Pre-Preliminary test (or equivalent skills). Recommended skill level for safety/success: Adult Bronze or Standard Track Preliminary Skating Skills and above (or equivalent skills).

 

OPEN ADULT LEVEL (COMPETITIVE /TRAVEL TEAM) - General Criteria:

• Designed for skaters ages 18-40+

• Minimum Level for safety: Adult Bronze or Standard Track Pre-Bronze test (or equivalent skills). Recommended/preferred requirement for success: Adult Gold or Standard Track Bronze (Juvenile) thru Gold (Senior) Skating Skills.

GENERAL SEASON INFO: 

​

• ASPIRE ADULT TEAM: This team generally meets/trains once weekly on Sundays beginning in October and concluding in February annually. This team will perform in costume 3-5 times per season (with up to 1 local competition)

​

• COMPETITIVE TEAMS (OPEN MASTERS/MASTERS & OPEN ADULT): The adult competitive teams at AEU generally begin their season with a kick-off training night in July and 1-2 August training sessions before moving to once weekly training on Sundays after Labor day for the duration of the season.  These teams generally compete/perform 6-9 times per season (with 1-2 longer distance/travel events)
