Sectional-Competitive & National Qualifying Teams
Arctic Edge Unity sectional-competitive and National Qualifying teams range in age from 8-18 years old and are aimed to train skaters in the more complex concepts of synchronized skating. As their name suggests, in addition to non-qualifying competitions, our sectional level teams get the opportunity to compete at the US Figure Skating Midwestern Sectional Championships in late January/early February of each year and our National-Qualifying level teams have the opportunity to compete/qualify for the US National Championships held in late February/early March of each year.
SECTIONAL-COMPETITIVE TEAMS:
Preliminary: A team of 8-16 skaters. Skaters must be under 12.
Pre-Juvenile: A team of 8-16 skaters. The majority of the team must be under 13 and should be working on or passed a pre-preliminary thru Juvenile moves in the field test.
Open Juvenile: A team of 8-16 skaters. All skaters must be under age 20. All skaters must have passed the preliminary moves in the field test.

NATIONAL-QUALIFYING TEAMS:

Juvenile: A team of 12-20 skaters. Skaters must be under 13 and are recommended to have passed the pre-juvenile thru Novice moves in the field test.
Intermediate: A team of 12-20 skaters. All skaters must be under 18 and are recommended to have passed a Juvenile thru Senior moves in the field test.

Novice: A team of 12-20 skaters. The majority of skaters should be under 16 and are recommended to have passed an Intermediate thru Senior moves in the field test.

Junior: A team of 12-20 skaters. All skaters must be under 19 and are recommended to have passed an Novice thru Senior moves in the field test.
