What is Synchronized Skating?
Synchronized skating is the only sanctioned team sport in figure skating and is the fastest growing skating discipline worldwide! In synchronized skating, teams of 8-16 skaters of similar age and skill work together to perform a routine in costume to music. As a discipline, synchro emphasizes teamwork, athleticism and musicality - all with the added bonus of performing and competing with friends by your side! Synchro is a great place to compete in a lower-pressure environment than singles figure skating and is a great way for skaters to stay active, make friends and have fun out on the ice!
This Open House will be hosted by Arctic Edge Unity Synchronized Skating Teams. Arctic Edge Unity teams are the competitive skating teams based out of the Arctic Edge of Canton and have competitive skating teams for skaters of all ages and skill levels from ages 4-65+. Interested skaters/families can learn more about available team opportunities for the fall/winter season by contacting Arctic Edge Synchronized Skating program director Erin Cullen at or call/text (248) 675 9581.
