Arctic Edge Unity skaters celebrated the holiday season today with a gift exchange between skaters of both teams. Each skater had their very own "AEU Buddy" on the other team for which they were to buy or craft a small gift for. The skaters showed a lot of creativity and thoughtfulness in their gifts while getting to know the skaters from the other group. Both AEU teams participated in the 2016 Arctic Edge Holiday Show! Skaters had a great time showing off their programs and many team skaters also performed solo/group routines for the show, which had a holiday theme. Arctic Edge Unity parents helped out a lot in running the AEU fundraising table, which included a glove and mitten sale as well as a flower sale (thanks to Lily's Garden of Ann Arbor for donating the roses).

The AEU sectional level team competed at their first competition, the Dr. Porter Synchronized Skating Classic in Ann Arbor, MI on Saturday, December 3, 2016. They had a great skate in the Synchro Skills 2 division and took home the bronze medal in a competitive flight of teams! Congratulations to our skaters on a great first event as a team and their medal winning finish.
